When there is no lighting there can be no show. Lighting is a very important aspect of any event. Be it a simple bulb to a complex series of lights, lighting adds the needed life to your event. If you get the wrong lighting it may ruin the entire mood and set up of the event. There are various forms of lighting some of which will be discussed in this article.

  • UPLIGHTING

Uplighting is a form of light where light is thrown from base upwards in a vertical line format. This type of lighting adds colour, warmth and depth complementing the colours used in décor. These lights are usually placed 10 ft apart from each other. This lighting can come in any colour like amber, blues, purples, teals, reds, yellows etc.

  • TEXTURE LIGHTING

Texture lighting is the projection of lights in the form of different shapes and illusions. These lights are projected on ceilings, floors, dance floors, stages, etc. to create depth, contrast and interest. Designs can be simple or complex ones, this lighting is also known as gobo lighting.

  • PIN-SPOT LIGHTING

Pin-Spot Lighting is the type of lighting where narrow beams of light are thrown on specific elements in a room to enhance them. These elements maybe centre pieces, cake table, the bar etc. This type of lighting adds to the beauty of elements and enhances their overall look.
